ACE-Step 1.5

by ACE Studio and StepFun

Makes full songs or instrumentals from a text description, locally and quickly.

13.1k stars on GitHub, Oct 2026

Why it's useful

Describe the track, such as tense synth loop for a boss fight, add lyrics if you want vocals, and it writes the music in seconds. It can also repaint a section, make variations and split out stems, and you can train a small add-on on your own tracks to keep a game's soundtrack in one style. Code and weights are MIT.

What it needs

A graphics card with 4GB+ memory at a push, 12GB+ for the larger models. NVIDIA, AMD, Intel and Apple Silicon are supported. Python 3.11 or 3.12.
