Almost a third of new games on Steam this year carry an AI disclosure. itch.io has more than 80,000 games tagged as AI-generated. Most are forgettable, some are brilliant, and until now nobody was sorting one from the other.

That's the job. Viber Cove is a hand-picked guide to games made with AI, and it exists to get you playing them. Every game here has been played and picked by hand, so you can skip the duds and jump straight into the good stuff. Most of them are free and play right in your browser. Pick one and press start.

Why the name

Vibe coding is making things by telling an AI what you want, and people are making games that way by the thousand. Viber Cove is where the good ones wash up: a little neon cove that's open late, where every game has been played by a real person before it gets a spot. Come catch a vibe.

What we stand for

• Taste over tools. We don't care how a game was made. We care whether it's worth your evening.
• Credit the makers. Every listing links to the developer's own page. Every image and clip belongs to them.
• Be straight about the AI. Each game shows which AI was used and what it made, taken from the developer's own disclosure. If they didn't say, we don't guess.
• Champion the makers. The people building these games are seriously talented. Every game page tells you who made it, what else they've made and where to follow them.
• Free to browse, no tracking. No ads and no tracking. An account is optional and only there to save favourites and rate games.

How games are scored

Every game shows three kinds of score, kept separate: reviews elsewhere (the average of player reviews on itch.io, Steam and Game Jolt, weighted by how many each has), jam rankings where a game was judged at an event like the Vibe Jam, and Viber Cove players, rated by people with a free Viber Cove account. Every game page also puts its developer front and centre: who they are, where to follow them, and what else they've made.

One click, no downloads

Loads of brilliant AI-made games only exist as code on GitHub, which means downloading, unzipping and running commands before you can play. Most people give up. So with the developer's blessing (or an open-source licence), we build those games ourselves and host them here: you click Play, it loads in your browser, and you're in. Full credit and a link to the code, always.
