Privacy

The short version: we don't track you.

Viber Cove has no adverts and no tracking cookies. We don't sell or share anything about you, and unless you make an account or submit a game, we don't know who you are.

Visitor counts

Viber Cove counts its own visits so we know what people enjoy. For each page load we note the page, the country (worked out by our host, never your town or address), whether it's a phone or a computer, and which site sent you if you clicked a link. We don't use cookies for this and we never store your IP address. To count each visitor once a day we turn your connection and browser details into a scrambled code that can't be reversed and changes every day, so it can't follow you from one day to the next or be traced back to you. We only ever look at totals, like "300 people looked at the Racing games today".

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, their servers briefly process your IP address to deliver pages to you and to block attacks. Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers that.

Fonts and images

Everything on this site, including fonts and game images, is served from vibercove.com itself. Your browser doesn't contact Google, itch.io or anyone else just by viewing a page.

Links to games

When you click to play a game, you leave Viber Cove for the developer's page, for example on itch.io. That site has its own privacy policy.

If you make an account

An account needs only a username and password. We store your username, a securely scrambled version of your password (we can never see the real one), and the games you favourite and rate. Your ratings count anonymously towards each game's Viber Cove player score. When someone signs up, or gets a password or recovery code wrong, we note the connection's IP address for up to a day, only to stop spam accounts and password guessing, then delete it. Logging in sets one essential cookie to keep you signed in; there are still no tracking or advertising cookies. Ask us to delete your account at any time.

If you submit a game

The submission form asks for your name, email and (optionally) your X handle, along with details of your game. We store these in our own database on Cloudflare and use them only to review your game, list it with credit if it makes the cut, and contact you about it. We never sell or share them. Ask us to delete them any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you. Unless you've submitted a game, the answer will be "nothing", but you're welcome to ask: .
