Tidewater

by Dan Greenheck

A cosy island fishing game with gorgeous beaches, a coral reef and rolling sea, all drawn in the browser.

What you doTake the boat out from the jetty, fish the shallows, the reef and the deep water, then sell your catch to Joe before dark and spend it on better tackle and boat parts from Marta by the boathouse. Needs a keyboard and mouse and a decent graphics card. Runs on WebGPU, so use a recent Chrome or Edge.

How this works: we look up every game on itch.io, Steam and Game Jolt and average the player reviews, weighted by how many each site has. Steam and Game Jolt use thumbs up or down, so we turn their percentage into stars (90% positive = 4.5). "Viber Cove players" is scored by people with a Viber Cove account.
