Grand Theft Austerity: Open World

by Alex Constantin

A GTA-style open-world political satire set in a living, stylised Bucharest, grown from an AI game jam entry.

What you doDrive a battered Dacia and explore a Bucharest built from real map data, with crowds, trams, police and a four-act story about taking back Builders House. WASD to move or drive, mouse to look, E or F to get in cars, M for the map. Needs a computer with a decent graphics card; the story is in Romanian with subtitles.

How this works: we look up every game on itch.io, Steam and Game Jolt and average the player reviews, weighted by how many each site has. Steam and Game Jolt use thumbs up or down, so we turn their percentage into stars (90% positive = 4.5). "Viber Cove players" is scored by people with a Viber Cove account.
